Under the influence of moisture, it can go in waves, and after drying it can leave water spots. As a result - the appearance of the product will be spoiled, and the design is likely to be partially broken.

The best option is to use wadding. It is almost 4 times denser than ordinary office paper, and much stronger. Moreover, from a couple of drops of water on it will not leave a trace after drying.

Another good option is cardboard. It comes in absolutely different densities, and it is possible to choose exactly what you need. Also a plus of cardboard is that it is matte. This will give the craft realistic, because the feathers of pigeons are also matte.

Watercolor paper is used less often, in view of the high prevalence of the previous options. You can buy it in special stationery stores.

Particular attention should be paid to decorations.

Here there are almost no restrictions. The only nuance is the fact that it is necessary to be guided by the density and strength of the material from which the base is made. And already on the basis of these data to select jewelry. This can be a variety of rhinestones and sequins, corrugated cardboard, perhaps even decorative feathers.

And of course, you need scissors, a pencil, an eraser and glue.

It is recommended to use PVA, with it there is less risk of impregnating the material, thus leaving marks on the surface.

To make it, we need a quarter sheet of A4 paper, a napkin, a pencil, scissors and a box cutter. On the sheet you need to draw the outline of the future dove. It is best not to go into detail, to draw in a minimalist style. After that, the drawn figure should be cut out of paper. Then, already on the figure itself, determine the approximate location of the wings of a dove, make on one side of a horizontal line of short length with a pencil.

Then, using a box cutter, make an incision exactly along this line. Then you should take an ordinary napkin, fold it so that its length was about 13-14 centimeters, and form an "accordion" from it. Having folded the napkin, it is necessary to put it through a hole, which was previously made with a paper knife. If it is not wide enough, you can expand it with the same knife.

Once the napkin is in place, the accordion must be evenly spread on both sides. You can also make a small hole next to the "wings" for string to be able to hang the dove.

Making a dove using templates

This is a more detailed method that requires more materials, time and effort. To make it, we need 2 types of paper: heavy and office paper; also we need glue, scissors, watercolor (optional).

Office paper is needed in order to print on it the templates taken from the Internet. If your printer has the ability to print directly to thick paper, you can use it. After the template is printed, you need to cut it out. Next, if it was printed on office paper, you need to glue the template to the heavy paper, or outline it. If you printed the template directly on heavy paper, skip this step.

Then you need to collect the base of the pigeon from the received templates. It is necessary to carefully glue the joints and joints of parts. This step will take no more than 7 minutes. After that, it is necessary to give the handicraft some time to dry. Once that happens, you need to make incisions on the wings on a template, they will imitate feathers. In general, the handicraft is ready. There is one step left - decorating, it is absolutely optional.

It is possible to paint the dove with beautiful colors, and then glue various additional details that will give it realism and beauty.

In this case, artificial feathers that should be attached to the wings are excellent.

Making a beautiful dove out of foam plastic

This material is quite rarely used, in view of its low prevalence and the greater availability of other materials.

It is worth noting that it is necessary to use only thin foam plastic, in the form of plates. We will need a pencil, a stationery knife, glue. The figure will turn out quite simple, it will be enough to draw and cut out only 2 parts. The first part is the body of the dove together with the head, and the second part is the wings, you should draw them as if you were looking at them from above.

As soon as the drawings are done, they have to be cut out and then carefully glued together. The advantage of this method is simple and fast.
