Skillful depiction of a crane will help make the drawing more lively and positive. After all, this is one of the largest birds that can fly. Picture of a crane step by step

It is important to distinguish the crane from the stork. The first bird has a shorter beak and flatter plumage. Also the Siberian Crane is able to make humming sounds. They usually fly in an organized manner, in wedges. Storks move alone or in pairs (only sometimes in flocks).

The birds belong to different classes (storks and cranes), in which each class is further divided into species mainly by their color. For quality drawing you will need a simple pencil, watercolor paper, brushes and paint (preferably draw). Learn how to apply an image by strictly following the following steps:

  • The sheet is placed vertically. By drawing a small oval at the top of the paper, the contours of the head are marked. Then a large oval is drawn in the central part of the sheet to act as an outline of the bird's body.
  • The neck of the crane is drawn with the Cyrillic letter "S". After that, a continuous line united neck, head and torso of crane in the upper parts. Also line connects these elements of the bird below.
  • A puffy tail is drawn from the contours of the torso to the side opposite the side from which the neck comes.
  • The beak is drawn from the head. By drawing a small circle in the head the contours of the eye are depicted, in which another small circle of three times smaller is drawn.
  • Dashes on the body of crane mark the wings and feathers, which go to his tail. The tail is also drawn feathers.
  • With lines marked paws crane. From them to the sides are drawn three dashes at the bottom. Two lines of paws should be slightly curved just above their central part.
  • Two lines add volume to each leg. The lines should be made unbroken. Then paws with bent down claws are drawn in a similar way.
  • Eraser removed lines of the original construction. Dashes are added to the folds on the paws.
  • Fine feathers are applied to the chest and wings of a crane.

After these steps are completed, you can begin to paint the bird beautifully. The crane is usually depicted in white or gray. There are also white and gray specimens. In the latter case, the paws and tail of the bird are shown in gray.

Also, a curved line on the crane's neck along its length is painted in gray. At first it is worth to outline the contours of the elements with darker paint, then move on to applying color on their inner parts.

For the beak is used light yellow paint. The top of the head, from the middle of the eye to the beak, is painted red. For the other parts, white is used.

Drawing a gray crane

This crane species lives in Europe and Asia. Its wingspan reaches more than 115 cm, and its height is about 190 cm. The depiction of such a crane on paper is done with a pencil, paints. When drawing a person, it is necessary to observe the following sequence:

  1. The shape of the head is drawn, after which the beak and eye are depicted. In this case, the outline of the crane is drawn on a vertically placed sheet, and the bird is displayed from the side view.
  2. The long neck is drawn by drawing two lines from the head. The lines must be continuous and jagged. A sketch of the oval torso is drawn from the bottom of the neck.
  3. Sketches of the paws are drawn on the paper. It is worth paying attention to the fact that they are quite long.
  4. Using the above sketches, the body and paws of the crane are depicted with smooth lines. The main lines of the tail feathers are drawn.
  5. The wing is depicted. After that, feathers are finished drawing on the tail, then on the body of the bird.
  6. Boundaries are drawn separating colors of feathers on the head and neck of the bird.
  7. Dashes on the crane imitated small feathers. After that you can proceed to coloring the bird.

Drawing the Siberian Crane with its head down

As the crane searches for and consumes food, its head, which is on a long neck, is down. You can depict a crane in this state on paper using regular and colored pencils.

  1. In this case, the drawing begins with the body of the bird. For this purpose, it is sketched on paper in the form of an oval.
  2. Below the above oval, a little to the left of it is drawn a sketch of a crane's head with a small-sized oval.
  3. Then two smooth lines connect the head and torso crane, as well as formed the neck. In doing so, they should take on a more natural, undulated shape. The mask of sketches is erased.
  4. The tail is drawn in the form of long feathers. Paws with claws are drawn from the body (first with lines sketches, then the contours of the elements themselves). Sketches erased.
  5. Is depicted on the body of the wing crane and the head with two circles drawn eye. In this case one smaller circle is placed inside the other. On the surface of the body to add feathers. Small feathers cover the entire body of the bird. Dashes are used for this task.
  6. The last step is to paint the Siberian Crane. Here it is important to consider the presence of different colors on the neck and head of the bird.
