A branch of rowan trees used to hang at the head of the bed or above the front door. In some cases it served as a decoration. The rowan was placed in a beautiful vase, which immediately attracted attention. And today many people follow this tradition.

Imitation rowan sprigs made of beads will be very nice in the winter, when it is not easy to find a fresh rowan branch. For this reason, many masters set a goal to learn how to weave it.

Materials for work

Rowan is a tree that looks quite bright because of the color of its fruits. And so there is usually no problem with choosing a suitable color of beads. However, it is recommended to work only with quality material that has a saturated color. Especially when it comes to choosing the color of the fruit. It should be bright red.

To make the leaves look like the real thing, it is not enough just to use a certain scheme. The choice of color also plays an important role here. It is better to refuse to buy dull glass beads and pay attention to beads with a bright green color.

Wire .

This is one of the basic materials you will need for your work. In this case, it will be necessary to work with the wire. Because it is able to provide the necessary flexibility and fixation of all elements of the craft. After all, the branches of rowan beads must retain a certain mobility, but at the same time keep their shape.

Threads, ribbons, PVA glue

Do not use ordinary satin ribbons, but floral ribbons. They will help to make the necessary composition. Paints and varnish

Not all elements of the tree are created from beads. For example, the trunk is made from improvised materials. To make it as similar to the real one as possible, it will be necessary to use paints. For the greatest contrast of colors, sometimes paint the trunk white.

Of course, there are several different techniques, involving the creation of very unusual handicrafts. You can use different techniques. It all depends on the size and shape of the product, as well as on your imagination.

The appearance of the handicrafts may differ depending on what kind of tree the craftsman decided to take as a basis:

• winter rowan - sometimes the leaves of such a handicraft are made exclusively from silver beads. And then the tree looks snow-covered, and therefore especially beautiful. In some cases, the leaves are made not only of silver, but also white, green glass beads;
• Blackthorn rowan - looks even more impressive due to its bright color, which will be beautifully combined with other shades in the interior. And that is why such a handicraft is often made to order, even for owners of apartments with a modern interior.

The master must independently decide on what kind of a craft to give to the handicraft. However, it is necessary to remember the need to follow one rule: the handicraft should look like a real tree. It is possible to achieve this only if the color of glass beads is chosen correctly.

A general scheme of weaving

This scheme can be used both by beginners and experienced craftsmen who have already managed to master many techniques, even the most complicated ones. In order to weave a tree according to this scheme, you will need a minimal set of tools and materials.

1. Take a piece of wire, the length of which is equal to 60 cm. You will need it in order to make the branches. To make the rowan beaded rowan made with your own hands looked natural, it is necessary to observe the proportions. The branches should not be too short or too long.
2. On the wire pick up 9 beads. They should be green in color.
3. Put all the beads in the middle and then bend the wire.

6. Once 57 branches have been created, you can begin to form bunches. There should be at least 25 in total.
7. For this you will need a shorter wire - 40 cm.

9. Attach the bunch to the branch you can use normal thread. Once all the clusters will be attached, you need to start making the side trunks.
10. To make the side trunks, you need to use thicker wire so that they will hold well and not fall off. The trunks must be connected to the branches with strings.

To make the craftwork looked harmonious and neat, you need to make at least 3 side trunks. After that, you can proceed to the final stage and shape the handicraft.

Rowan under the snow

Externally, such a handicraft looks more interesting. But to make it, you will have to make snow yourself from beads. Dyeing the branches in this case will not give the desired effect.

To make snow, it is necessary to use the technique of loop weaving, which is not too difficult, so it will be suitable for beginners:

• on a wire of white color you need to dial beads and make a loop. It is better to use white beads, but they can also be replaced by transparent glass beads;
• then it is necessary to make a twist of exactly two turns;
• near the twist, another loop should be made.

Note that the length of one piece of wire used should be enough for at least 6-7 loops. Do not make too few loops, because then the "snow" will not cover the fruit.

How to choose the thickness of the wire?

At the beginning of the work, it is difficult for each master to determine exactly how thick the wire should be. The right choice in this case depends on how convenient it will be for the craftsman to work with it. There is a rule, which can be followed to make the right choice. It is necessary to choose a wire of such thickness that it can easily pass through beads. If the wire passes through the beads at least twice, then it is suitable for work.

Do I need a needle?

Usually a needle is used when working with fishing line, because it is much more convenient. In the case of making a rowan tree from beads, craftsmen usually use wire instead of fishing line. However, some elements of the tree can still be made from fishing line and beads. That's why it's better to buy a needle that you're comfortable working with in advance.

What kind of stand to use?

After all the elements of the tree have been prepared, you can proceed to the final stage, which involves fixing the handicraft. For beginners, a rowan tree, woven from beads, is already a ready-made handicraft. But experienced craftsmen know that in this form of handicraft is not complete. Be sure to fix it.

A special stand will be needed. You can make it yourself from improvised materials, or buy a ready-made product, decorate it and make the design more appropriate. To do this, you can use beads and even stones. It is possible to weight the stand, but you should not do it too much. The weight of the craft should not be too great.
