Traditional braiding of bracelets

Small bright bracelets came into the 21 century from the 60's of last century, when young people created their own alternative culture of the hippie movement, conquered the whole world by a commitment to simple clothing and jewelry, made by hand. Colored beaded garlands are usually assembled on fishing line, strong thread or elastic flagellum. The material used is a small beads, transparent glass beads, included in the composition of large beads or various original additions.

General rules of weaving

There is no age limit for beadwork - girls, their mothers and grandmothers are fond of it. Work with beads develops fine motor skills, creative imagination and pleases with the result. Before proceeding to master the master class on weaving a beaded necklace, you need to buy the necessary items for work.

Among them are beads of several colors, medium-diameter capron line or strong thread, needles and scissors. This is the first time that a bead is used on a bracelet, and the second time that it is used on a bracelet, the first time that it is used on a bracelet:

• To make the bracelet even and uniform along its entire length, it is necessary to hold the fishing line firmly while stringing the beads. At the same time it should be stretched with a little effort, trying to distribute evenly.

Fold the fishing line in half, so that the beads remain on the fold, you need to put one of the ends inside the extreme of them.

It forms a circle with the ends of the line, going in opposite directions. The next step is to thread one tail of the line, and on the other - two beads. Through the third, outermost of them completes the second circle. According to the familiar pattern of weaving is carried out to the desired length, corresponding to the volume of the hand.

If you want to weave a wide product in this technique, it is necessary to have a fishing line in the outermost side beads, continuing the cross pattern.

Mosaic weaving technique

To make a dense fabric with smooth edges, many needlewomen use a method called "peyote". To perform it, you should take about 2 meters of thread or fishing line.

One bead must be fixed at a distance of 15 cm from the end of the fishing line and to do this, pass it twice through the same hole. Then put another 5 or 7 beads on the thread, the main thing is to have an even number.

To turn the second row, the thread coming out of the sixth bead must be passed first into the first second row, and then into the fifth of the first row. Then repeat the pattern, passing the thread into the second bead of the second row, and then into the third of the first row.

As a result, the thread will come out of the very first bead, and in the same order continues to plait the third row.

Weaving a Ndebele-inspired braid

On a flat cloth, made in this technique, the pattern appears in the form of a Christmas tree. For it should take about one and a half meters of fishing line and an even number of beads. The first one also has to be fixed by threading the fishing line through it again. To start, 10 beads are put on, except for the starting bead.

When you turn to the second row, the pattern repeats like a mosaic, but with the capture of two beads at once and passing the line into the beads of the first row also through two. Thus the weaving speed increases due to the simultaneous addition of two beads.

Making a braided plait

Bracelets that look very effective as braided plaits. To understand how to assemble a necklace of beads, it is necessary to imagine that the Ndebele technique works in four vertical columns of beads, set in the form of a square.

The fishing line will grab a new bead of one column and pass through the lower one, already attached, of the next one in the circle. You get a tetrahedral product, which in the finished form becomes a spiral. Such bracelets are worn and boys, if you choose for the product beads in darker colors.

Bracelet weaving method with the name

To make a more complex piece of jewelry, you can use a similar loom. For this purpose, several rows of strong thread should be stretched in parallel on a book or a piece of dense cardboard and secured at the edges with scotch tape.

Then with another thread, threaded with a needle, you should thread one bead at a time, and between the grips drag the thread, then below a perpendicularly stretched base, then above it. So you get the principle of woven threaded cloth, with beads on the cross threads.

Letters are obtained by a different color, strung in the pattern.

Weaving a simple braid

This method is so simple that it is available to the youngest needlewomen. It is necessary for its implementation to cut three pieces of fishing line of 50 cm, with a reserve. For a variant with a clasp, they should be attached to the ring, and then all three are threaded through a larger bead.

On each piece, small beads of different colors are strung. When it fills all the measured length of the bracelet, it is necessary to weave the usual triple braid and again take a big bead, passing all three tails through it. The work ends with a knot on the second ring and attaching a clasp to it.
